Social Media

We created a twitter account in order for us to connect with our audience and as a way to share our movie. On our twitter we post updates about what we are getting up to an fun behind the scenes content.

Sound

Evidence of Editing

In todays lesson we decided to edit our title sequence again to improve it and try to make it the best quality that we could. We added in the additional shots that we filmed previously and it honestly improved the whole final piece majorly.

Here's a shot of Piotr editing the clip of where an image is set on fire. He's double checking it making sure that the timing is right and that the length of the clip fits in with the rest of the sequence.

Rough Cut 2 Feedback

We improved our rough cut and added more shots. When showed to viewers, this is the feedback that we received:

  • Good use of lighting. The main items stood out and the way they were filmed made our attention focus on the individual objects.
  • Tempo needs to be changed. Not enough tension was created which limits how effective the title sequence could be.
  • Include ambient sound effects. Adding different sounds here and there could really enhance the title sequence and create a whole different atmosphere.
  • Make sure that it's the right length so that there's enough time for the storyline to be put across.

Evidence Of Filming 2

After completing our first rough cut, we realised that we didn't have enough shots and that more different elements were needed. Because of this we decided to film some more shots in order to improve our title sequence.

There weren't many shots of the board which was one of the key elements of the title sequence so we filmed a few more. Different angles and also moving shots created more definition and dimension.

We also shot more scenes with the main character and her shrine/ favourite table. The lipstick and the Rose are the most important props so having more involvement of both props was crucial.

In order for the storyline to make more sense and be easy to understand for the audience, I thought that including more shots of the ex-boyfriends would create a clearer message. Having short shots of them tied up and in pain will let the audience know how Rose(the main character) is very violent and there's more hidden messages behind her innocent face.

Blogging Health Check 3

In the future, i'll make sure that I don't miss as much time from Media as I did. I'll catch up and ask for help when needed not just skip the task.
