TASK 3 - The Purpose Of A Title Sequence And Film Opening

The purpose of a title sequence is to showcase the cast and crew involved in the production. They engage the audience by hinting at what is about to start, whether it’s a movie, TV show, or Web animation. They give you a taste of the genre that the movie may be and give you a taste of what's to come.

The purpose of a film opening introduces the movie. It gives you a sneak peak of what the genre will be and also lets the viewer make a first impression. Film openings introduces us to the main characters and they often have clues about the rest of the film's narrative. The film's title is often included in the opening. It also introduces the genre, it does this through music and sound which sets a mood and tone, through mise en scene and setting. This is where the location is usually introduced such as where in the world the film is based or taking place at the certain moment. Legal things often appear in film openings such as all the copyright statements and the company's animated logo.
