What is Genre? (task 10)

Genre is the type or category of film for example, Horror, Action and Comedy. A Sub-Genre is a genre within a genre. Two genres combined is a Hybrid genre for example Rom-Com. Codes and conventions are things that are expected to be seen in a genre for example in a horror you would typically see low, dark shots. Genre tropes are signifiers like the mis-en-scene, aspects of camera and lighting and setting.
